I am excited to be at Pelham High School as the Dean of Students. This will be my 16th year in education. My experiences are many and include working for the Community College System of New Hampshire overseeing the development of the Running Start Program and teaching business courses at the college level. I have been at Pelham High School for 8 years and my passion to prepare students with the skills they need to be successful in college, career, and life has only increased during this time. In today’s global society it is important to provide our students with a curriculum aligned with college and work expectations while our students develop the skills to think critically and solve real-world problems. The College and Career Guidance Department is staffed with school counselors and personnel who are equally passionate in helping students develop a 4-year plan to meet their college and career goals. We provide career pathways to facilitate course selection and we administer PSAT and SAT testing to measure students’ preparedness for college level work. In addition to AP courses, we offer over 20 college courses to enable students the opportunity to participate in rigorous coursework while getting a head start on their college education. We also offer Naviance, a college and career software planning tool designed to assist families in searching colleges and helping students reach their unique goals.
