Notes from Nurse

Food Allergies & Safety

If your child has food allergies and has school lunch, please be sure to check with the Food Services Director, Kelly Rambeau, for ingredients. There have been changes in ingredients due to state requirements!

Please discuss with your child the importance of NOT sharing food or drinks at any time with other students. This includes bus rides to and from school. Due to the number of students with multiple types of food allergies, this is to ensure all students' safety. If you have any questions pertaining to food allergies, please feel free to contact Kelly.

Cold Season

If you would like your child to have a cough drop for school, they must bring in the cough drops to the nurse WITH a note from the parent for permission to have the cough drop. The student will have the cough drop in the nurse's office.

We encourage plenty of fluids and rest for the common cold. Washing hands is also very important. Classes have the option to watch the video called "Why Do We Do It In Our Sleeve". This video demonstrates techniques to cough and sneeze into your sleeve or tissue rather than into the "air" to prevent spread of germs.
